About LiMao Art Studio
Welcome to Li Mao Art Studio, located in the heart of the Greater Houston Area. Our teaching focuses on cultivating basic drawing skills while emphasizing the development of students’ artistic literacy.
We offer a rich array of art courses that blend English and Chinese teaching methods. As an art training institution with innovative teaching methods, we cater to children and adults of various backgrounds aspiring to be artists. We arrange small-class teaching and hands-on art instruction tailored to the individual characteristics and learning receptivity of different students.
Whether you prefer the dynamic atmosphere of group classes or the focused guidance of private lessons, our flexible course settings are designed to let you learn at your own pace, offering students a space for free artistic creation and absorption of artistic nutrients.
The teaching process incorporates fundamental practices such as sketching, color theory, and plein air painting. Our studio teachers, who have been engaged in education for many years and graduated from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, focus on nurturing students’ observational skills and open-minded thinking, sparking their creative thoughts.

About LiMao 李矛简介
李矛，1990年毕业于四川美术学院美术教育专业获文学学士学位及重庆大学艺术硕士学位，曾任教于重庆某高校，从事美术教学工作十来年，具有丰富的教学经验。所辅导的学生在Scholastic Art & Writing Awards，休斯頓牛仔节，休斯顿地球日和海洋、野生动物等视觉艺术项目等绘画比赛及全美多項绘画比赛中获奖。多名学生考入全美重点艺术院校。在培养学生的同时，還坚持自己的艺术创作，也是休斯顿银街艺术区的常驻艺术家，作品曾参加休斯顿国际摄影双年展和纽约军械库艺术博览会，休斯顿aker-imaging艺术中心和Cindylisca画廊曾为李矛举办過个人画展，作品被多家藝術機構收藏。
Li Mao graduated in 1990 from the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Education and also holds a Master of Arts degree from Chongqing University. He has taught art at a university in Chongqing for over a decade, possessing extensive teaching experience. His students have won awards in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, Houston Rodeo, Houston Earth Day, Ocean & Wildlife, and various other visual arts projects and nationwide painting competitions in the USA. Many of his students have been admitted to prominent art institutions across America. While cultivating his students, Li Mao also persists in his own artistic creations. He is a resident artist in the Silver Street Art District in Houston. His works have been exhibited in the Houston International Photography Biennale and the New York Armory Art Expo. The Aker Imaging Art Center and the Cindylisca Gallery in Houston have hosted solo exhibitions of his paintings. His works have been collected by several art institutions.
